in patients who are asymptomatic but have 2 or more predisposing factors for the development of coronary artery disease, such as increased blood cholesterol, increased blood pressure values, presence of diabetes mellitus, hereditary history, etc.
when other diagnostic tests, such as the fatigue test or cardiac scintigraphy yielded inconclusive findings.
